The 2019 PDA Disability Education Conference Celebrated Its 10th Year
The 2019 PDA Disability Education Conference Celebrated It's 10th Year
Professional Disability Associates' Annual Disability Education Conference celebrated its 10th year on May 2nd and 3rd in South Portland, Maine. This event has centered around bringing clarity to issues and sharing knowledge about trends in the disability industry as a whole for many years but in its infancy was a resource for physicians only. Today, attendees range from physicians and nurses to vocational and claim consultants.
Several physicians gathered the day prior to the event for the third annual PDA consultant pre-conference training event at PDA's office in downtown Portland. The pre-conference brings PDA consultants together from across the country to share best practices and continue furthering their knowledge of the disability industry.
The main conference featured topics including return to work facilitation, approaching claim management as a team, ERISA learnings from 2018, Social Security Disability, chronic pain and post-concussion syndrome, among others.
Continuing education credits were available for those with MD, DO, PA, RN, Psychology, Case Management and Vocational Rehabilitation credentials.
Praise for the conference
"The conference had topics for everyone involved in disability cases; it was helpful to understand topics outside my scope."
"This is the one conference I look forward to every year."
"As the CMO of PDA, I am proud of our 10-year history of producing our unique Disability Education Conference, which brings together our staff, consultants, customers and associates to share knowledge and best practices in the group disability space. My thanks to our staff, attendees, presenters, and sponsors for making this year’s conference a success!!" - Frank Bellino, MD Chief Medical Officer at PDA
